Light is a form of radiant energy that travels in waves made up of vibrating electric and magnetic fields. These waves have both a frequency and a length, the values of which distinguish light from other forms of energy on the electromagnetic spectrum.

AvaLight-DHc

Used for UV/VIS/NIR- applications.
Recommended in transmission setup with multimode fibers.
Emits light from 200-2000 nm.
Integrated TTL shutter, that can be used for auto-save dark / lamp off in combination with AvaSoft (extra IC-DB15-2 or IC-DB26-2 needed).

AvaLight-HAL

Compact stabilized Tungsten halogen fan-cooled light source.
Used for the visible range and the near infrared.
Maximize light coupling into a fiber or fiber bundle with a diameter of up to 600 µm. 
Filter slot accepts 1" round or 2" x 2" square filters up to 3 mm thick. Air regulated flow around the heatsink to optimize the operation temperature.

Used for UV/VIS/NIR applications using SMA905 connector.
With adjustable focus lens assembly is included.
Supplies a continuous spectrum with high efficiency and highest stability in the UV, visible and near-infrared range from 215-2000 nm.

HL-6000S

Effective color temperature of 6000 K. The HL-6000S has a blue enhancement and can be used for extended visible applications (380-1100nm).
SMA 905 optical connector and an internal electromechanical shutter, that can be operated through pushbutton or TTL signal.
The TTL signal can be generated by AvaSoft and used to automatically save the dark spectrum.
High stability and low drift

AvaLight-XE

Used for UV-applications, such as fluorescence measurements. Requires an additional cable to be connected with the AvaSpec spectrometer (IC-DB15-2 for AvaSpec-USB1/ IC-DB26-2 for AvaSpec-USB2) to synchronize the flashes with the data taken by the spectrometer.
Using AvaSoft software, able to select one or multiple flashes per scan. 
Needs to be connected to an external pulse generator, as included in the AvaSpec spectrometers.
Also available for deep UV applications (below 200nm) with a special DUV bulb.
Special CUV-XE direct attach cuvette holder is available for fluorescence applications.
